Fridays are all about one thing in Dubai – Brunch.
Whether you choose to co casual, mingle with the beautiful people or splash about by the poolside, you’re guaranteed to find an abundance of offerings to start the weekend with style.
Most brunches are at hotels, open about 1pm and offer an option of unlimited Champagne, which, in a Muslim country with the high price of alcohol, and never one to turn down a glass or two of champagne – was definitely the option for me!
One of the best restaurants to go to for brunch is Nobu.
Nobu Matsuhisa is a Japanese celebrity chef and restauranteur, who has restaurants bearing his name in several counties.
Nobu Dubai is housed in the iconic Atlantis, The Palm Hotel. As we were guests at the hotel for our four day visit to Dubai, it was our Friday Brunch restaurant of choice.
We obviously went for them unlimited Champagne offer, and were served Perrier Jouet.
We were given the menu and chose Nobu Brunch starters to begin. This included.
Spicy Chicken Tacos and assorted Cocktail Canapés

We then chose two dishes each from the main menu. Both of us chose Black Cod Yukon Miso, which is Nobu’s signature dish.
Richard chose Beef Gyoza with spicy butter Ponzu sauce, whilst I went for Soft shelled Crab with Amazu Ponzu.
We then hit the sushi buffet started off with sea-bass tartare and then went for a selection of seafood, including oyster, tuna, swordfish and multiple options of sushi, all washed down with probably several bottles of Champagne.
I would definitely come here again for brunch, next time we find ourselves in Dubai.
